Project Manager - Packaging Industry

Your responsibilities

  • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end, defining project scope, goals, success criteria, project plans, and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, and delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Estimate and negotiate with other internal functional areas for required personnel, and any additional staff and/or consultants that may be necessary during project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, and resolve issues and conflicts when necessary.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, and manage project dependencies and critical path for optimized scheduling.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage project scope changes according to the standard process, along with rebaselining revised plans.
  • Conduct project Lessons Learned and post mortems and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Your competencies and qualifications


  • Four year degree in engineering, project management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of work experience at ALPLA or similar industry
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certified with PMI (Project Management Institute)
  • Good understanding of technical and financial aspects of plastics industry processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Project
