
Health and Safety Risk Administrator - Fixed Term

Purpose
The Health & Safety Risk Administrator will play a key role in supporting the Health and Safety team in maintaining and enhancing the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems—specifically through the oversight of site-wide risk assessments.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in Health & Safety within a manufacturing (FMCG) environment and a passion for promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Tasks & responsibilities (not limited to)
- Oversee and maintain the site's Risk Assessment Register, ensuring it remains accurate and up to date.
- Support departments across the site in completing and reviewing their own risk assessments, providing guidance and clarification where needed.
- Coordinate and track the risk assessment review cycle, ensuring assessments are completed within required timelines.
- Liaise with departmental risk assessors to follow up on outstanding assessments and gather necessary updates or feedback.
- Assist in identifying gaps or inconsistencies in risk assessments and work with departments to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of assessment statuses and associated actions using appropriate tracking systems.
- Promote best practices in risk assessment processes and encourage continuous improvement across all departments.
- Work collaboratively with the Health & Safety team to ensure risk assessments align with company policies, legal requirements, and safety standards.

Education / Experience:
- IOSH Qualification
- Worked in manufacturing environment (FMCG, Packaging, Plastics or similar)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive in approach.
