Head of Engineering

In this position, you are responsible for the overall management and direction of the company's Engineering department

• Review job orders to determine work priorities. Schedule repairs and maintenance (and installation) of machines, tools, facilities and equipment to ensure continuous production operation
• Direct maintenance activities of utility systems to provide continuous supply of water and energy needed by the production department in the operation
• Plan and direct the activities of workers installing, modifying, repairing, maintaining machines, and equipment.
• Plan and develop sound preventive maintenance program in coordination with other affected departments.
• Review reports of production, quality control and maintenance statistics to plan and/or modify maintenance activities.
• See to it that all technicians/operators are given the basic training in the proper use and handling of their machine or equipment.
• Request tools, special/personalized tools, and equipment needed to assure a proper and correct implementation of PM activities.
• Confer with Management, Production, and Quality Assurance departments to resolve maintenance concerns and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Monitor and control Repair & Maintenance expenses vs budget to ensure that all costs are kept within the agreed budget or limits plan ahead of schedule all needed parts and manpower required for overhauling. Evaluate the parts needed, the required quantity, in charge of the creation of PR, eventually the timing for the overhauling.

• Graduate of 5-year Engineering course (Diploma) in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or any related courses.
• Professional licensure is an advantage
• With 10 years progressively responsible experience in managing engineering activities and functions
• Work experience and decent knowledge in engineering gained from manufacturing industry, preferably with packaging products
• Relevant exposure in extrusion and injection technology is an advantage
• In-depth knowledge both in electrical and mechanical technology
• Good interpersonal and intrapersonal skills to relate well with people from different levels and even from other departments
• Excellent English language skills (oral and written)
