Logistics Analyst

Your responsibilities

  • Logistics Department Auditing
    • Develop and maintain auditing program for Logistics Department KPI’s.
    • Complete quarterly finished good audits of all US plants vs. the warehouse system inventory levels.
    • Complete quarterly FIFO audits of all US plants.
    • Compile monthly/quarterly/yearly results for all US plants.
    • Analyze plant audit programs and provide management with guidance on program status and adherence to procedures.
  • Training
    • Train all McDonough personnel in usage of warehouse system and review usage and compliance to standardized processes at US facilities, supporting where needed.
    • Support and train for other modules as needed.
  • Business System Documentation
    • Work with IT Systems Engineer to develop manuals and documentation for business system modules.
    • Maintain manuals and documentation and ensure information is updated for the current software version.
  • Logistics Department Assistance
    • Order and maintain Logistics system equipment and ensure timely delivery for projects.
  • Month End Inventory Support
    • Support local Logistics departments and assist in month end inventory reconciliation process
  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordination
    • Maintain tracking systems for all VMI customers.
    • Validate plant entries into VMI tracking system.
    • Work with Finance department to ensure a high level of accuracy in VMI accounts.
    • Lead physical inventory audits at VMI customers as needed and reconcile vs. the tracking system.

Your competencies and qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Experience in analysis of Manufacturing/Logistics business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects
  • Min 2 years of experience in training personnel


  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel extensively in North America and live for extended periods in target locations, occasional international travel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to make effective presentations to all levels of personnel from management to unskilled laborers
