Product Designer

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation and development of new plastic packaging designs and drawings
    • Prepares product designs with 3D CAD software under consideration of technical feasibility, design aspects and customer specification requirements
    • Completes of 2D technical drawings including all relevant dimensions and tolerances
  • Conducts design meetings with customers
  • Maintains integrity of CAD database
  • Performs any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the “Main Purpose of the Job”.

Your competencies and qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent, 4 year Degree (Bachelor) preferred
  • Two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in 3D CAD Systems, NX preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experienced in Industrial design, preferred plastic packaging industry

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills are needed.
  • Ability to work independently in a global team environment with input from a variety of sources including customer, Project Engineers and Process experts
  • Meticulous attention to detail and committed to superior quality results
