Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager (Al Obour)

Your responsibilities

  • Developing quality culture & mindset across factory
  • Ensuring compliance of factory to all applicable ISO & BRC standards and customer requirements
  • Ensuring compliance of factory & products to applicable local & external regulatory requirements and customer specifications
  • Conducting factory internal audits & participating in 2nd party audits (vendor evaluation)
  • Coordinating and supervising all quality assurance & quality control activities in production and factory to meet all internal & customer specifications
  • Managing customer relationships through excellent external communication for quality related topics, customer engagement and managing the customer complaint process utilizing the ALPLA internal tools
  • Ensuring corrective & preventive actions are effective in closing all gaps determined during audits, customer visits, non-conformances & complaints
  • Managing HACCP program and ensure effectiveness of factory-wide hygiene programs
  • Ensuring efficient process management & document control
  • Developing a robust Quality Control program through training of quality & production personnel on customer requirements, determining optimized process settings to assure specified requirements are met, maintaining approved color samples from customers, and determining the optimum quality sampling plan according to ALPLA standards & customer requirements
  • Ensuring the ALPLA product qualification process is conducted
  • Ensuring good lab practices are applied and supervising integrity of laboratory work to achieve exceptional product quality
  • Maintaining optimum laboratory performance through managing device external & internal calibration program, maintaining measurement database integrity and conducting individual laboratory performance evaluation for quality personnel
  • Managing product & material nonconformance process
  • Leading the factory QC team through promoting teamwork, driving excellent performance and ensuring personnel capabilities can achieve their job requirements. Assessing training needs for quality personnel & ensuring execution of training. Conducting regular staff meetings

Your competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Pharmacy, Food Science or Sciences
  • 5+ years of work experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in FMCG, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry
  • Experience in development of quality &/or food safety management systems, such as BRC, ISO9001 & ISO22000
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Statistical Process Controls
  • Experience in lab testing equipment and application of Good Lab Practices
  • Experience in performing internal audits & 2nd party audits (vendor qualifications)
  • Proficient in process management & document control
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SPC)
  • Ability to identify & collaborate well with key internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage external customer relations
  • Ability to handle multi-task environment, identify business priorities & have organizational skills
  • Proactive and have strong communication skills
  • Excellent command of English & Arabic languages
