Senior Data Center Architect (all genders) - Brasov

At ALPLA, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our global IT infrastructure.

 Our infrastructure platforms form the backbone of a global manufacturing company and are designed to be secure, resilient, scalable, and future-ready. As part of our international Corporate IT organization, you will contribute to the evolution of our data center and hybrid cloud platforms while collaborating with colleagues around the world.

Your responsibilities include:

• Own and evolve the architecture of our global infrastructure platforms.
• Define and continuously improve global standards for core infrastructure services.
• Drive the technical evolution of server, storage, virtualization, and backup platforms.
• Design and enhance modern backup, recovery, and cyber resilience concepts.
• Support and expand hybrid infrastructure platforms across on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure IaaS.
• Contribute to the standardization, automation, and modernization of our infrastructure landscape.
• Develop sustainable, stable, and scalable platform architectures.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and long-term infrastructure strategies.
• Collaborate closely with international IT teams, business stakeholders, and technical experts across multiple locations.
• Provide architectural guidance for complex technical initiatives and strategic infrastructure decisions.
• Foster knowledge sharing and support the technical growth of the global infrastructure community.

• Several years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in data center technologies, virtualization, server, and platform environments.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and modern cyber resilience concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Good understanding of modern infrastructure architecture, automation, and operational best practices.
• Experience defining and implementing technical standards in an enterprise environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in an international environment.
• Structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented way of working.
• Professional proficiency in English. German is considered an advantage but is not required.
