Sales Director APAC
What you will enjoy doing
1. Strategic Planning & Market Analysis:
- Develop, maintain, and execute the APAC Regional Strategic Sales Plan.
- Identify market opportunities across APAC markets and conduct thorough competitor analysis, including market share, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Analyze APAC sales statistics to determine regional business growth potential and ensure budget conformance.
2. Business Development & Customer Relationship Management:
- Proactively seek out, target, and secure new customers and sales opportunities across the APAC region.
- Initiate and manage action plans to approach and win new business in key APAC markets.
- Oversee all APAC Customer Service activities, including price updates, contract review/negotiation, price quotations, and overall customer relationship management to maximize satisfaction across the region.
3. Sales Team Leadership & Personnel Development::
- Provide strong leadership to the day-to-day operations of the APAC sales department.
- Build, develop, and mentor high-performing sales and marketing teams across APAC countries.
- Establish clear performance goals for all APAC sales personnel based on the Regional Strategic Sales Plan and monitor performance continually.
- Oversee the recruiting, selection, and development of Sales and Marketing personnel throughout the APAC region.
4. Financial Management & Budgeting:
- Develop standardized pricing methodologies for the APAC region.
- Be fully responsible for the annual APAC Sales Budgeting Process.
- Analyze variances in APAC sales performance and budget, initiating corrective actions as needed.
5. Operational Coordination:
- Coordinate APAC sales operations seamlessly with all other departments within the company globally.
- Maintain a strong focus on the company's strategic goals in all APAC sales activities.
What makes you great
- Bachelors degree in a business related field, MBA is highly desirable
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales management capacity in the rigid plastics packaging industry
- Execution skill: capable to “close the deal”
- Strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Winword, PowerPoint)
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to present effectively to key customer decision makers
