Quality Manager – International Career (F / M/ D)

We are the global family of pioneers. At ALPLA, we cooperate across boundaries and promote solutions all over the globe. One of our plants in the US is seeking an entrepreneurial spirit to oversee and coordinate all quality assurance activities in manufacturing and the laboratory.  

Main responsibilities:

- Drive implementation of key projects defined based on the global quality strategy.

- Supervise, train, and develop local quality teams, to ensure they are well-organized, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

- Develop and implement quality control programs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, internal and customer product and packaging specifications.

- Responsibility for customer relationship management regarding quality topics.

- Work together with production and customer to determine optimized process settings to assure specified requirements are met (specifically during sampling and product qualification process)

- Ensure compliance with all ISO and customer/external audit requirements, preparing and successfully completing audits.

- Recording and reporting dimensional, functional and visual attributes per internally specified requirements.

- Maintaining optimum performance and internal calibration checks on quality-related equipment.

What makes you great

  • Four-year degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience with physical lab testing equipment and preferred with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishment as a QA Manager, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge
  • Ability to manage Customer Relationships
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Open-minded and look forward to living and working in the US with great cultural diversity.   
  • Fluent in English and excellent communication and presentation skills for building strong relationships.
