Engineering Manager

Your role will involve actively leading and supporting both preventative and reactive maintenance activities within the plant. The primary objective is to minimize downtime and ensure high operational efficiency across the profit centers, while also ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out within the assigned budget, Further tasks include the following:

• Daily meeting with team before work
• Oversee preventive maintenance and the repair of machines/molds
• Oversee machine/ mold trouble shooting
• Daily meeting with another department
• Oversee Engineering office report, email and documentation
• Train people on machine maintenance and repair
• Ensure that he and his team attend fire escape training, food safety, 5S training and other
• mandatory trainings in the plant
• Ensure that he and his team attend skill and knowledge improvement training
• Prepare monthly report on machine and mold problem, corrective and preventive action plans
• Ensure that machine/mold history record is kept and updated
• lead installation of all new machines and equipment
• Report to the Operations Manager or to the General Manager status of machine breakdown and repair; Do the necessary analysis and action to avoid or minimize machine breakdown.
• Evaluate his team's skills and performance and prepare the development plan when necessary.
• Lead the disciplinary action for erring employees (following the guidelines from HR)
• Control and manage the overtime work of the department
• Ensure that lock out/tag out guidelines are implemented and that team follow all the rules related to Safety, Quality, 5S and others

• Graduate of Engineering course preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or any related course
• Master's degree in engineering or related courses is an advantage
• Professional licenses are an advantage.
• Work experience on preventive maintenance, machine and mold repair and troubleshooting preferably from a plastic bottle manufacturing industry
• With minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in managing engineering activities and functions
• Work experience in engineering's safety, continuous improvement, spare part management and cost saving
• Knowledge in Motor control, Drive, PLC, electric, Hydraulic, Pneumatic system
• Knowledge in measuring tools,
• Knowledge and skill in preventive maintenance plan and spare parts management
• Project management, concept design, negotiation and contract management skills
• AutoCAD skills would be a plus
• Excellent English language skills (oral and written)
