Manufacturing Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Manufacturing (Production & Maintenance):

• Production & Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily production plans, schedule personnel, ensure target output, and optimize cycle times, material usage, and waste reduction.
• Maintenance & Asset Management: Implement preventive maintenance procedures, track downtimes/spare parts, safeguard tools, and align operations with global standards.
• HSE, Quality & Compliance: Conduct 5S assessments, GMP audits, risk evaluations, and Gemba walks to enforce safety standards and company policies.
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Define department KPIs, manage energy and consumption tracking, analyze operational issues, and submit monthly reports to management.
• Team Leadership & Development: Identify staff training needs, ensure effective cross-departmental communication, and lead regular operational syncs.
• Strategic & Financial Support: Assist the Head of Operations in budget preparation and support overall plant efficiency and profitability.

Experience

• Experience in plastic packaging manufacturing, preferably in Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM).
• Experience managing production teams and shift operations.
• Experience with new machine installations, mold transfers, commissioning, or production start-ups is an advantage.
• Injection molding experience, preferably in caps and closures, is a strong advantage.

Qualifications / Skills / Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of EBM processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap reduction, cycle time optimization, downtime reduction, and production efficiency).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Hands-on leadership style with excellent planning, organizational, and team development skills.
• Good understanding of quality systems, food safety requirements, and HSE standards.

Language Requirements

• Very good English communication skills (spoken and written) are required to effectively lead a multicultural workforce.
• Hindi and/or Urdu would be a strong advantage.
• Arabic is an advantage.
