Network Engineer (all genders) - Brasov

At ALPLA, you will work on the network infrastructure that connects our locations and IT services around the world and help us continuously improve it.

Our Core Infrastructure team provides reliable and secure network and infrastructure services for ALPLA locations worldwide. We work with modern enterprise networking technologies and continuously develop our environment towards greater standardization, automation, security, and stability. As a Network Engineer, you will become part of an international team and work with technologies around LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, and network security. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Operate and continuously improve our global network infrastructure.
• Work with LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, and switching technologies in an international enterprise environment. •
• Analyze and troubleshoot network issues and help develop sustainable solutions.
• Support the secure and reliable operation of our network services.
• Participate in the implementation and renewal of network components across our locations. •
• Contribute to international network projects and the introduction of new technologies
• Support the standardization, automation, and modernization of our network infrastructure.
• Monitor network services and help ensure availability and performance. • Document technical solutions and actively share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate with colleagues from different IT teams and locations around the world.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology we use. We are looking for someone with a good technical understanding of networks, an interest in modern IT infrastructure, and the motivation to develop further. You might currently work as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar technical role. 

• Experience with networks or IT infrastructure in a professional environment.
• Good knowledge in at least some areas such as routing, switching, LAN, WAN, WLAN, or network security.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP and modern network architectures.
• A structured and solution-oriented approach to technical problems.
• Willingness to take responsibility for topics and follow them through to completion
• Interest in improving and automating existing solutions.
• Enjoyment of working in an international team and sharing knowledge with colleagues
• Professional proficiency in English. Experience with enterprise networking technologies, Cisco, firewalls, SD-WAN, Network Access Control, cloud networking, scripting, or network automation is an advantage – but you do not need to bring all of these skills.
