Quality Supervisor

  • Ensure production compliance with all internal and customer bottle and packaging specifications.
  • Measurements and Testing
    • Measures, records and reports dimensional, functional and visual attributes per internally specified requirements
    • Maintains optimum performance and internal calibration checks on quality related equipment and schedules calibration of equipment requiring outside calibration
    • Maintains measurement database integrity
  • Customer Relationship Management regarding Quality issues
    • Works with production and customer to determine optimized process settings to assure specified requirements are met (specifically during sampling and product qualification process)
  • Quality System
    • Ensures compliance with all ISO and customer/external audit requirements
  • Documentation
    • Maintenance of customer product specifications
    • Development and maintenance of all internal bottle and packaging specifications
  • Leading the Team
    • Regularly scheduled quality staff meeting
    • Ensures team works together as efficiently as possible 
    • Correctly records time and attendance of team
    • Recruits (with support of Management) and HR new employees
    • Performs disciplinary actions
    • Performs annual Performance Evaluation for quality lab technicians under guidance of Operations Manager / Plant Manager
    • Assesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of training

Education/Experience:

  • Min 2 year Degree(Associates) in related field or equivalent
  • Experience with physical lab testing equipment, calipers, scales, digital height gauge and compression force testing equipment and with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required, preferably in manufacturing environment

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Computer literate (Excel, SPC data base, Word)
  • Ability to work well with other departments
  • Able to handle multi-task environment with good organizational skills
