Technical Sales Manager (Injection Molding)

What you will enjoy doing

  • Coordination of all regional opportunities for your region or country in all technologies / products that fall within the scope of ALPLAinject.
  • Strong support of Sales in acquiring new business, especially with focus on solution proposals by performing design / product analysis resulting in solution concepts. 
  • Active participation in the initiation of customer projects with a technical focus on tooling, machine, automation, decoration and downstream, as well as investment costs and machine planning in close cooperation with the Service & Execution teams.
  • Supporting the regional sales team and leading the technology selection (e.g. mold technology, stack molds, machine supplier, assembly technology, etc.) taking into account technical and commercial aspects in cooperation with the Solutioning team.
  • Supporting the regional sales team during customer visits, especially on technical discussions – upon request by Sales.
  • Support the Service and Execution teams in the development of local suppliers in the regions following the global guide lines and standards.
  • Information management and training in the technology areas IM, IBM and CM
  • Strong support of Sales in aquiring new business for ALPLAinjectSupport in investment cost calculations for new technologies
  • Support in the preparation of investment cost calculations in customer projects
  • Regular coordination, support and training of regional structures and associated employees (e.g. Technical Sales Managers)
  • Ensure highest level of technical integrity of sold / awarded projects
  • Clear scope, timelines and budget of all projects before handover of such projects to Project management teams.

  • Knowledge in business administration
  • Knowledge in IM and related technologies, especially molds and injection molding machines
  • Several years of experience in leading customer techno-commercial projects and RFQs 
  •  High Sales affinity combined with entrepreneurial thinking 
  • Strong communication, moderation and problem solving skills
  • Analytical and coordination skills, self-organizing skills 
  • Willingness to travel frequently up to 50% 
  • High grade of flexibility and stress resistance  
  • Experience in Project management
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, additional language skill a plus
