Mechanical Technician – Secondary Line Maintenance

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician with 3–5 years of experience in maintaining secondary line equipment in a beverage, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of packaging and material handling equipment to ensure uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of secondary line machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, labeling machines, Wadding machines, coding machines, and stretch wrapping machines.
• Carry out mechanical overhauling, alignment, bearing replacement, chain and sprocket maintenance, and lubrication activities.
• Monitor machine performance and identify potential failures.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment.
• Ensure machine availability and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with production and utility teams during maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and spare parts consumption data.
• Follow safety procedures, LOTO practices, and housekeeping standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

• 3–5 Years in Secondary Line Maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in packaging and conveyor systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems, valves, cylinders, and air preparation units.
• Experience in chain drives, gearboxes, bearings, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with TPM, preventive maintenance, and breakdown analysis.
• Basic welding and fabrication knowledge is preferred.
