Maintenance Manager – International Career (F / M/ D)

We are seeking an entrepreneurial spirit for one of our plants in the US to oversee all maintenance activities, lead a team of maintenance professionals and implement strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Main responsibilities:

- Drive implementation of key projects defined based on the global maintenance strategy.

- Supervise, train, and develop local maintenance team, to ensure they are well-organized, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all equipment and machinery.

- Create and state maintenance schedules for a wide range of machinery and ensure regular and preventive maintenance activities are executed efficiently.

- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement strategies to improve reliability and minimize downtime.

- Ensures and reinforces compliance with the Health and Safety Program.

- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors on site

- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high equipment reliability.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history and work orders. Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, KPIs, and budget adherence.

What makes you great

  • Four-year degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum four years of work experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or packaging
  • Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines
  • Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment
  • Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Hands-on experience running a busy engineering department
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Open-minded and look forward to living and working in the US with great cultural diversity.   
  • Fluent in English and excellent communication and presentation skills for building strong relationships.
