Shift Manager

At our Mansfield site we currently have a requirement for a Shift Manager - To ensure the day to day operation of machines and labour are utilised to maximum efficiency, to produce containers to the customers specification and quality standards.

• To issue all paperwork connected with the various products and report any discrepancies immediately.
• To ensure that production figures are recorded in a legible manner and accurately at all times and to pass on relevant information to Departments and individuals concerned.
• To deploy labour as necessary to ensure the smooth running of machinery and ancillary equipment. To ensure that correct training is given to personnel for the requirement of the job. To report any substandard materials immediately.
• To carry out disciplinary procedures as necessary and to keep Personnel Department informed.
• To liaise with Engineering Department regarding repairs and maintenance work that may be required.
• To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good Health and Safety practice.

Experience Required:

• Leadership capabilities and experience within fast paced manufacturing environment (Plastics, packaging, FMCG)
• Highly analytical and exceptional attention to detail
• Organised and able to communicate effectively
• Awareness and knowledge of food safety policies
• Practical knowledge and awareness of H&S requirements within manufacturing/production environment
