Health, Safety and Hygiene

• Monitoring and maintaining all fire alarm, firefighting system and fire exits.
• Monitoring and maintaining PPE of all workers.
• Coordinate with food safety team for monitoring on the use of hygiene tools (hairnets, jewellery policy, hygiene station, hand washing area).
• Monitoring of the first aid boxes for medicine needed.
• Daily checks of the plant for safety hazards (e.g. open machine guard, open control panels, etc.). and personnel behavior.
• Verify the hazards reported through the yellow card system and follow up for the corrective action and closing
• Arrange safety training for all forklifts drivers, first aiders and firefighting for all departments yearly.
• Conduct weekly Tool box talk (TBT).
• Increase safety awareness through appropriate promotional method and channels of communication.
• Update HSE communication board including the KPI trackers.
• Conducts emergency exercise (mock drill) and responds to emergency situation.
• Conduct risk assessments with the departments and derive mitigation actions.
• Conducts LOTO spot checks and GEMBA walk monthly.
• Conduct HSE meetings.

Facility Works Coordinator

• Coordinate with all external contractors (firefighting).
• Monitor housekeeping of outside area of plant, facility building & raw material yard/external warehouse.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for the disposal of hazardous chemicals.
• Monitoring for small facility jobs inside & outside the plants related to Safety.
• Responsible for the documentation of the daily routine inspections inside and outside the plant.
• Report the incidents in the Incident Register form and ALPLA Accident Database
• Issuing of incident register form to responsible departments for near miss and accidents.
• This responsibility under food safety team

Education/ Professional Qualifications

• Diploma or graduate of Professional Safety degree
• Most have working knowledge of ISO 4500 1
• NEBOSH  

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of health and safety.
