Packing Team Member

We currently have an opportunity within our Packing Department to join our Milton Keynes site (MK10) on a permanent basis.

Purpose of job/mission:

To ensure that containers are packed to the customer's specification.

Hours of work: -

4 on 4 off - Working 12 hour shifts  - rotating Days (6am – 6pm) AND Nights (6pm – 6am)

Tasks & responsibilities:

• To ensure the product being packed meets the required specification. To report any defects to Supervision.
• To ensure the packaging is of an acceptable standard, removing any cartons, trays, etc. which do not meet the required specification.
• To check that each label is the correct one for the product being packed. To ensure that the date and packer no. is clearly marked on each label.
• To ensure that goods are properly wrapped and to report any faults immediately to supervision.

Experience

• Previous packing experience in fast paced manufacturing environment beneficial
• Some FMCG industry awareness of housekeeping and hygiene standards
• Good Health and Safety awareness
• Excellent communication skills
