What you will enjoy doing
- The Safety Head for the India region will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety policies, programs, and procedures across all Plants. This role aims to ensure a safe working environment, compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting culture of safety within the organization.
- Develop and implement safety strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate guidelines and local regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of manufacturing facilities to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Stay abreast of relevant safety regulations and standards, ensuring compliance across all facilities within the region.
- Regularly review and update safety policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Promote Safety culture and ensure Safety rules and behaviors are respected and implemented.
- Safety Audit of all Plants on TSI (Total Safety Index). Reporting Incidents /Accidents for all India Plants
- Support to HSE representatives for Safety trainings.
- Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes and complete CAPA.
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to Plants and employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
- Ensure Plants maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment.
- Raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices.
- Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture.
- Other duties assigned by management.
What makes you great
- Diploma in Industrial Safety Certify with Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001
- Knowledge of Industrial Safety requirement related to industries.
- 12-16 Years of Experience preferably in Manufacturing Industry
- Knowledge of EHS Statutory and Regulatory Compliances (Both central and state)
- Preferred knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Machines
