Head of Sales ALPLApharma Europe (m/f/d)

What you will enjoy doing

 

As Head of Sales ALPLApharma Europe, you act as a key interface between Country Sales Directors/Sales Managers and the global sales organization. You work closely with Country Management, Technical Departments, Controlling, Procurement, and other functional areas in all commercial aspects

You stay close to the market and play a crucial role in shaping the corporate and sales strategy of the Pharma Division. In coordination with the Managing Director, you define target markets and prepare market analyses, sales plans, and marketing strategies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Expanding the customer base by driving the acquisition of new customers in existing and new market segments and introducing innovative packaging solutions to established customers
  • Conducting market analysis and identifying new business opportunities by developing and implementing a standardized sales process
  • Collaborating with the technical team to commercialize new product developments, define market standards, pricing strategies, and identify key value propositions
  • Leading and coordinating the sales team in European countries including organizing of training sessions, sales meetings, and personnel development initiatives. This includes also the definition and monitoring of sales targets together with the Managing Director
  • Supporting Country Management in organizational and commercial matters and establish a regular communication with the leadership to review strategic projects
  • Optimizing the product portfolio based on market needs, competitiveness, and profitability

What makes you great

  • Completed technical or commercial education (university degree or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the pharmaceutical or packaging industry
  • Strong customer focus, strategic and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and intercultural competence
  • Problem-solving skills, high flexibility, and resilience
  • Willingness to travel internationally (minimum 40%)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), additional language skills are a plus
