
Machine Setter
What you will enjoy doing
Purpose of job/mission:
Setting of blow molding/Injection machines to ensure that products produced are to the required specification.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- To ensure that blow molding/injection machines and ancillary equipment are in good running order. To report any defects to supervision and carry out any remedial work as instructed by supervision, which is within the setters' level of competence to minimise loss of production and maximise machine efficiency.
- To ensure that product arriving at the packing station is to an acceptable quality standard. That all relevant paperwork is completed at the time the job is handed over to Production and any special information regarding the job is conveyed to supervision.
- To carry out sampling procedures, as instructed on sample requests issued by the Technical Department. To ensure the results from the sampling are recorded, and any suggestions for improvements are passed to the Technical Department.
- To report any mechanical or electrical problems to supervision, so that the problem can be resolved by the relevant department.
- To ensure that work areas are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness at all times.
- To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good Health & Safety practice.
- To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision, and which are consistent with the "Main Purpose of the Job".

Skills/Experience:
- Ideally will have proven experience in a similar role and strong understanding of injection/moulding processes
- Understanding of mechanical principles, machine operation, and relevant manufacturing processes

Days – Monday to Friday (7am – 4pm)
Salary dependent on experience (Trainee from £30,000 / Experienced £35,000 - £40,000)
