Within our Fiber Packaging development activities, we focus on technologies that enhance the performance of fiber-based packaging. As a Scientist / Expert Coating, you will bridge research and industrial application by developing barrier solutions that transform innovative ideas into scalable products and processes.

• Investigate and evaluate different coating and barrier technologies
• Develop and optimize coating solutions from laboratory scale to prototype stage
• Select and assess raw materials, application equipment, and process parameters
• Improve the interaction between coatings and fiber-based materials to enhance functionality and performance
• Plan, execute, and evaluate R&D trials independently
• Characterize coating formulations and barrier systems using appropriate analytical methods
• Collaborate closely with research institutes, suppliers, and development partners
• Support innovation initiatives and funding programs
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Contribute to intellectual property and patent-related activities

• Degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• Several years of experience in coating development or a comparable area
• Strong knowledge of polymers, coating technologies, and application processes
• Experience in research, laboratory, or product development environments
• Confident handling of experimental design, data analysis, and technical documentation
• Strong hands-on mentality combined with a structured and analytical approach
• Interest in innovation, new technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good English communication skills
