Main purpose of the job

The Country Finance Manager has full responsibility for all Finance matters in Romania. This includes daily accounting tasks, payments, internal controls, local financial statements, taxes, as well as all operative controlling tasks such as budget planning, sales controlling activities, and daily cost management.

Your responsibilities

  • Implement and develop financial control, operational control and sales control tools, budgeting, forecasting and create financial analyses
  • Prepare plans, timely and accurate reports, forecasts and financial analyses for internal and external needs of the company
  • Coordinates the preparation and implementation of the budget, financial plans, cost analysis, investigation of the deviations between the actual results and the budget
  • Deep analysis of contribution margins, and support to the sales teams in other sales analysis topics like forecasting, market intelligence
  • Achieve accounting operational objectives by contributing accurate and detailed accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, avoid legal challenges, enforce accounting regulations, recommend new procedures
  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and analyze the quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements, including the relationship with external legal auditors
  • Analyze different kinds of reports for all accounting related matters (monthly Profit/Loss statement, fixed assets, working capital, balance sheet items, cash/debt, loans and banks, receivable, payable) on monthly basis per each plant
  • Support the Country Manager and the Plant Managers in interpreting accounting policy, in the analysis of the current operations, capital investments, recommending and implementing solutions and improvements for KPI achievement
  • Manage the implementation of controlling and accounting standards, policies and procedures
  • Lead and guide the entire Romania Finance team in all daily activities, including also the responsibility of recruiting, on-boarding, training, planning, reviewing, following company policies and procedures

What makes you great

  • University degree in Economics\Finance\Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Controlling/Finance preferable in a manufacturing company
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Power Point)
  • Profound numeric, budget development and budget tracking skills
  • Proactive approach towards information sourcing
  • Solution driven personality
  • Analytical, creative and out of the box thinking
  • Excellent Business English & local language skills (written & spoken)
