Engineering Manager_Southeast Asia & new APAC countries

• Lead regional plant engineering tasks, including managing suppliers and maintenance contracts.
• Plan and oversee new plant constructions and adaptations in the APAC region.
• Direct engineering projects for new plants and extensions.
• Evaluate and discuss improvement projects with stakeholders.
• Ensure safety and quality of production facilities before hand-over.
• Provide expert support in project management, including design, contracts, and documentation.
• Advise on maintenance and energy management, conduct audits, and support certifications.
• Review projects post-completion to find improvement areas.
• Collaborate with other departments for alignment and updates.
• Update guidelines and procedures for plant engineering.
• Support plants with building and infrastructure needs.
• Formulate strategy and manage budget for the department.
• Analyze costs for facility or utilities equipment.
• Monitor equipment parameters to ensure proper operation.
• Manage contractors for installation, repair, or maintenance.
• Coordinate projects to ensure they are on time and within budget.
• Assist in plant layout design and ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Communicate planning impacts with related departments.
• Assist with maintenance on infrastructure or engineering matters.
• Ensure project activities do not affect product quality.

Education/Experience:

• Degree: University or Master's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.).
• Project Management: At least 8 years in a similar role in manufacturing, with experience in managing projects from start to finish.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water systems, compressed air systems, low voltage electrical power, and site management. Experience with machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in plastic packaging.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Engineering Fundamentals: Understanding of cooling circuits, compressed air circuits, electrical fundamentals, and general knowledge of ISO, GMP, HACCP, 5S, and Safety.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and create technical drawings (AutoCAD) and proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word.
• Project Management: Skilled in managing time, scope, and budget for projects, and coordinating plant engineering projects.
• Communication Skills: Fluent in English, good interpersonal skills, and effective coordination with departments and suppliers.
• Professional Skills: Ability to tackle complex issues, supervise managers, maintain professionalism, work under pressure, and willingness to learn and adapt.
