Packing Coordinator

Purpose of job/mission:
The Packing Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all packing activities across all profit centres within ALPLA Golborne. The post holder is responsible for the deployment / optimal use of resources physical, packaging and consumables. The role is responsible for ensuring that all products are packed in accordance with customer requirements and made ready for distribution.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate Packing teams
- Ensure that all packing personnel are appropriately trained for the machinery that they are operating in.
- The Packing Coordinator will regularly update, review and organise necessary training where required.
- Maintain a safe working environment - Works closely with H&S Manager and subordinates to ensure compliance
- Manage absence and administer the payback system. Responsible for conducting return to work meetings and undertaking all first line absence management / discipline / grievance issues.
- Evaluate production plan and organise packing manning levels across site to ensure effective planning requirements meet business needs.
- Organise and control effective stock takes across site of all production consumables and report abnormalities.
- Works closely with departmental managers
- Ensures all packing teams across site have annual appraisal / performance reviews
- Ensures all SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) are in place for all site packing related teams and tasks across site.
- Attends when on site weekly planning meeting and actively contributes to production plan that ensures effective packing activities.
- Ensures all site packing personnel adhere to site hygiene policies ,Housekeeping and PPE compliance.

Competitive salary – £40,000 - £42,000
