Forklift Driver

Job Responsibilities:

Incoming Materials

• Ensure that the received goods are stored as per procedures
• Receipt, stock move and storage of finished products
• Provides assistance when loading trucks
• Stacking empty pallets and relocation of pallets

Stock Movements

• Stock removal and consignment of goods accordingly
• Ensuring that relevant material is issued to assigned department
• Monitor and document delivery & returns from the department
• Maintains records of stock at hand and reporting shortages if any
• Adheres to standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
• Transport product from storage areas using proper equipment to the main warehouse
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.

Outgoing Materials

• Loading and offloading of trucks as per shipping order
• Adheres to standards in quality and quantity (Checking for damages as well as count)
• Documentation as per procedure (truck checking, incoming inspection)

Safety Awareness

• Ensures safe environment & follow proper 5s culture and fostering safety awareness within the team
• Follows safety procedures and safety trainings.
• Reports any safety related concern immediately to the superior
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment

Others

• Ensures good housekeeping within all areas of the work
• Supports and conducts inventory counts/activities as per procedure
• Any additional tasks as per instructions from supervisor or manager.

Person Specifications:

Education

•     High school diploma or equivalent
•     Forklift operator/driving license

Experience

• 1 to 3 years of warehouse/forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in using specific logistics/warehouse systems (Scanners etc.)

Personal Competencies

• Intermediate computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to read and write in English
