Senior National Safety Coordinator

What you will enjoy doing

  •  Promoting safety programs to ensure safe work practices
  •  Creating and conducts remote and on-site training in all aspects of Safety
  •  Providing support of timely reporting and investigating of all reported safety
  • incidents as well as trend analyses to determine root cause issues
  •  Inspecting and audits NOAM plants to identify and address potential safety hazards
  • and to ensure compliance with Safety policies and procedures
  •  Assisting NOAM plants in creating responses to all governmental bodies
  •  Managing and audits contractors on site (as needed)
  •  Ensuring internal HSE policies and practices are current and appropriate
  •  Scheduling regional Safety meetings/program reviews across all locations
  •  Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring of other Safety team members
  •  Addressing specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, etc., as
  • well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance as directed by EHS Manager
  •  Acts as substitute for EHS Manager, as needed

What makes you great

• 4 year degree or technical degree preferred or related experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial Safety
• Experienced in multi-site leadership
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) at minimum, CSP, CHMM, CIH, CSHM preferred

• Advanced knowledge of general industry and industrial practices, regulatory agency requirements and industry standards
• Outstanding communication skills
• Excellent computer skills required with strong proficiency in MS PPT, MS Excel
• Ability to handle multi-task environment with good organization skills
• Skilled in producing reports, good knowledge of data analysis
• Willing and able to travel up to 60% on a regular basis
• Demonstrated attention to detail
