Tax & Legal Supervisor

What you will enjoy doing

  • Works on the daily accounting activities with accounting services HUB ensuring all tax requirements are met.
  • Ensures that all tax treatments are compliant with the local law.
  • Maintains an organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
  • Responsible for the management of the archiving of all tax-related documents.
  • Coordinates with external tax auditors for quarterly, semi-annual and annual tax closing plan by covering (Scope, framework and needed information and time plan for accurate delivery of information and meeting annual deadlines for tax reports).
  • Maintains tax controls by establishing tax accounts in the chart of accounts, define tax policies and procedures. Follow up and ensure all the previous KPI's are strictly followed by internal and external parties.
  • Guides other departments by researching and interpreting tax policy, apply observations and recommendations to operational issues.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and analysis (VAT, WHT, CIT, payroll tax, stamp tax)
  •  Lead tax inspections initiated by the Egyptian Tax Authority
  •  Provide analysis, documentation, and challenge inspection results when necessary
  • Support international tax reporting and documentation
  • Works on the general ledger monthly to ensure accuracy of posting and quality and correctness of tax extracted reports.
  • Ensures all tax submissions are done on time
  • Work with ERP systems (Dynamics 365) and electronic invoicing platforms

What makes you great

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management with a concentration in Taxation is required.

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Taxation, preferably within an international or leading local manufacturing company.

  • Strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations; familiarity with Double Taxation Treaties (DDT) is an advantage.

  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel preferred.

  • Solid numerical aptitude, with demonstrated experience in budget preparation, development, and monitoring.

  • Proficient in PC-based applications; experience working with large, automated accounting systems is a strong plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
