Head of Sales & Business Development

What you will enjoy doing

  • Responsible for Sales & Business Development for India region for Pharmaceutical Rigid Packaging portfolio.
  • Review existing ALPLA portfolio and recommend key articles based on market needs.
  • Leverage existing relationships to establish a strong client base to meet revenue targets.
  • Travel locally, domestically, and internationally for sales activity to clients.
  • Create competitive offers and realize sales opportunities in an efficient timeframe.
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships at various levels.
  • Create a pipeline of future opportunities for pharma packaging based on current and future market trends.
  • Operate in alignment with strategic direction provided by Regional & Global Leadership
  • Retain & grow sales and marketing personnel to develop an established sales organization.
  • Interface seamlessly with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Procurement & Operations and “HQ in Austria” to represent and serve the needs of customers.

What makes you great

  • Experience in pharmaceutical packaging sales.
  • 12-15 years+ experience with 5+ years in a managerial role. Experience working in a multinational environment will be an added advantage.
  • Existing relationships with large and medium size pharma companies at various levels
  • Track record of consistently growing sales & business development
  • Understanding of commercial structures and pricing for packaging and overall development process in Pharma
  • Understanding of regulatory needs for domestic and regulated markets.
  • Strong abilities in directing customers towards their desired goals or strategies.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders within a team environment.
  • Documentation management
  • Compelling skills in guiding customers towards desired outcome or approach.
  • Ability to work in a greenfield environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
