
Maintenance Technician
What you will enjoy doing
Main purpose:
The job holder is responsible for the mechanical maintenance in our production plant and is directly reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Conduct Electrical and Mechanical services and maintenances of machines on site
- Ensures preventive maintenance is performed
- Ensures Machine Breakdowns are repaired
- Ensures current and accurate record of maintenance
- Ensures all relevant manufacturer modifications and updates are performed/installed
- Ensures a spare part warehouse
- Maintains good housekeeping
- Ensures availability of spare parts
- Manages contractors on site
- Ensures all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures
- Guides Team
- Ensures mechanical maintenance technicians works together as efficiently as possible
- Assesses training needs of mechanical maintenance technicians and ensures execution of training
- Ensure all maintenance job cards are attended to timeously.
- Responsible to report any risks identified for Quality and Food Safety Management where food contact product is produced in the plant.
- Ensure on-going awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health and Safety Management
- Ensure housekeeping and general areas facilitates a tidy, neat environment
What makes you great
- Millwright Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of work experience similar industry
- Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines
- Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Hands on experience running busy engineering department
