Financial Controller

What you will enjoy doing

We're seeking a Financial Controller to support the Controlling Manager Turkiye in all finance and controlling-related matters. This role involves ensuring accurate and reliable monthly reporting, identifying deviations from established financial and operational targets, and following up on corrective actions. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Controlling Manager Turkiye and relevant departments within the AMET region to implement and achieve key objectives effectively.

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting and analyze deviations in financial and operational targets, following up with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Controlling Manager Turkiye and relevant departments in AMET to meet and implement key requirements.
  • Drive improvements in reporting structures linked to internal reporting, cost control, and benchmarking.
  • Provide effective commercial procedures and initiate changes to achieve operational, financial, and commercial goals.
  • Prepare monthly P&L reports and variance analyses between budget and actuals in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Monitor and expand internal KPIs focused on production, purchasing, and sales, analyzing deviations and proposing improvement plans across five plants in Turkiye and one in Iran.
  • Lead and support the budgeting process while assisting site managers in optimizing their key figures and cost structures.
  • Participate actively in process improvements within the finance department and manage related internal projects.
  • Conduct periodic benchmarking analyses and provide actionable insights.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and success in key objectives.
  • Manage the control, analysis, and reporting of CAPEX.

What makes you great

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting & Finance or Controlling, preferably in an industrial environment or multi-site manufacturing settings.
  • Strong knowledge of planning, budgeting, and KPI management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics AX or similar) is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable processes (invoicing, credit risk management, incoming payments).
  • Background in public accounting (audit/consulting) or financial planning and analysis is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Accounting and Reporting Standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a high affinity for IT-supported reporting systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, complex thinking skills, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Turkish is required.
  • Experience in controlling processes across multiple plants.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Jedox.
  • Previous experience working in an FMCG environment, managing cost control and financial operations in a dynamic setting.
  • Proven track record of participating in digital transformation projects within the finance function.
